The next cohort that we are vaccinating for COVID 19, is for those in Category 4.

We hope to have vaccines for this group some time after April 12th 2021.

After Category 4, we will be vaccinating people in Category 7.


Those aged 65 to 69 will be vaccinated in vaccination centers.


We will contact you with an appointment when your vaccine becomes available.

Category 4 is as follows

Those at very high risk from COVID 19 between the ages of 18 and 69, with the following-

  • Diabetes with a HBA1c >58
  • Obesity with a BMI >40
  • Chronic severe respiratory disease- on home oxygen, or pre or post lung transplant
  • Cancer, actively receiving treatment or metastatic cancer
  • Chronic kidney disease on dialysis or eGFR <15ml/min
  • Chronic neurological conditions requiring non invasive ventilation
  • Severe Immunocompromised
  • Inherited metabolic disorders
  • Down Syndrome
  • Sickle Cell Disease

 

Category 7

People aged 16 to 64 years with high risk of severe disease or death

  • Cancer
  • Chronic Heart Disease
  • Chronic Kidney Disease eGFR <30ml/min
  • Chronic liver disease
  • Chronic neurological disease causing compromised respiratory function
  • Chronic respiratory disease eg severe asthma needing repeated oral steroids, moderate COPD
  • Diabetes
  • Immunocompromised due to disease or treatment
  • Inherited metabolic diseases
  • Intellectual disability excluding Down Syndrome
  • Obesity BMI >35
  • Severe mental illness eg schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, severe depression.
